Privacy Policy

Article 1 (Our position)

Hoshiyomi treats your privacy as a priority and complies with Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information and related law. The service runs on an anonymous session with no account, and does not require your name, address, phone number, or other identifying details.

Article 2 (What we collect)

• Cookie UUID: a generated UUID stored in your browser, used to link your readings together. It is not tied to your identity.
• Reading input: the name, date of birth, concern and similar text you enter. This is sent to the AI provider to produce the reading.
• Payment data: the PayPal transaction identifier. Card numbers never pass through our service.
• Access logs: IP address, browser information and access time, recorded as standard server logs.

Article 3 (What we use it for)

• Producing and displaying your reading
• Keeping context through the follow-up conversation
• Aggregate analysis to improve the service (statistical, not identifying)
• Preventing misuse

Article 4 (Third parties)

We do not pass your information to third parties except: (1) where required by law; (2) where you have consented; (3) sending your reading input to the AI provider in order to generate the reading; and (4) sending what is necessary to PayPal to process payment.

Article 5 (Cookies)

You can disable cookies in your browser settings. If you do, some features — such as retrieving your earlier readings — will stop working.

Article 6 (If you are under 18)

Please use the service with a guardian's consent. A guardian's consent is required for any paid extended reading.
